Visualisation and retouching

Having used Photoshop for over 12 years, I have considerable experience of image editing and photo manipulation.

In 2007, I was approached by the Evening Standard - London's main newspaper - who were interested in using a piece of work from my website, as a double-page spread. The image in question was a panoramic view of the capital's skyline, rendered to show how it might appear in the future. Using more than 100 layers in Photoshop, I superimposed dozens of new skyscrapers being planned for construction. This was done in combination with Google Earth and other resources, in order to establish the exact location, height and perspective of each building.

The results are shown below. As you can see, I produced three separate images - the original, showing the present day view; a future view in 2012; plus an annotated version with information about each building. Also shown is the newspaper article in which the image eventually appeared.
